To run the app: show your feed, deliver your messages, notify you about activity on your content, and let people find and follow you. We don’t sell your data, and we don’t share it with advertisers.
Posts, recipes, and profile info you make public are visible to anyone using nest. Messages are only visible to the people in that conversation. Behind the scenes, we use a small number of service providers to run nest: Supabase (database, authentication, file storage, realtime messaging), Vercel (hosting), and Sentry (error monitoring) — each only processes what they need to provide that service to us.
We keep your content for as long as your account exists. Deleting a post or comment removes it from the app immediately. Deleting your account (in settings) permanently and irreversibly deletes your profile, posts, photos, and messages. One exception: if someone else replied to a comment of yours, their reply stays up (it’s their content, not yours) — it just stops being attributed to your account.
You can view and edit your profile information, and permanently delete your account, at any time from settings— no need to ask us. We don’t yet have a self-service “download my data” button; if you’d like a copy of your data, contact us using the details below and we’ll get it to you.
nest isn’t directed at children, and we don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we’ll remove it.
If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we’ll let you know before the change takes effect.
